Parenting Courses

Purpose

The goal of the parenting course is to inform and empower parents while passing on practical, workable strategies that will make a difference in the lives of all family members.

The course’s priority is to develop an environment conducive to the engagement of parents through non judgement, empathy and acceptance.

The course offers parents the opportunity to view their child from a new perspective – not the one generally heard - but very positive and uplifting.

The content of the course is the ‘How To’ for managing ADHD and challenging behaviours.

Outcome

By the conclusion of the course parents would have established:

• understanding of their child
• recognition of what they are dealing with and why
• re engagement and relationship with their child
• a positive view of their child
• confidence in dealing with their child – no matter what the circumstance
• a bank of tools and strategies with which to move forward
